Thank you for visiting my site. You can call me Rocío. If you’ve never heard of this name before it would sound something like Roth-thee-oh. It’s a woman’s name common in Spain, where I was born. I moved to the UK in 2006 with the aspiration of living abroad and learning the English language. Gradually I fell in love with the tough and magnificent city of London and until further notice, here is where I am.

Photography has captivated me for as long as I can remember. Since being a child I have poured over pictures in books, magazines, albums and walls. At some point I started taking pictures myself and in 2011 I completed a BA Photography and Arts course, at the University of Westminster, London.

Concerned about human interaction with the surroundings, the perception of time and of memory, my practice is focused on candid photography, and social as well as landscape documentary. Yet, I appreciate and get inspiration from portraiture, fashion stories and still life images.

Please drop me an email if you want to ask or share anything with me. I’ll be pleased to hear from you.
